On November 3, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Alexander V. Grushko, received the Representative of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the Russian Federation, A. di Savoia Aosta.
The parties exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of official relations between Russia and the Order, which are based on centuries of history and tradition. An exchange of views took place on topical issues on the international agenda with an emphasis on the importance of the timely and gradual adaptation of bilateral ties to the new geopolitical realities associated with the transition to a multipolar world.
A number of aspects of further cooperation between Russia and the Order were discussed, in particular the possibility of expanding the geography of humanitarian actions and carrying out joint actions in regions and territories where assistance is required in restoring the foundations of normal life with all its necessary social, cultural and spiritual needs.
As a result of the meeting, mutual readiness was expressed to continue dialogue and contacts at different levels.
