In March 2021, the Representative Aimone di Savoia Aosta, together with the Counselor, Giovanna Parravicini, paid a working visit to St. Petersburg.

The trip, organized by the management of the Maltese Relief Service, was intense and productive. The delegation of the Representative Office visited the locations of the charitable projects “Canteen for the Needy”, “Mobile Shelter for the Homeless”, “Mother and Child”. At the end of the trip, the delegation visited the Catholic Church of St. Catherine and the Catholic Church of the Visit of the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Elizabeth.

The Maltese Relief Service in St. Petersburg has been operating since 1992, carrying out charitable and humanitarian activities. In 2020, despite the coronavirus pandemic, the center functioned steadily, providing emergency social assistance to those in need, in particular families with children in difficult life situations.

Following the results of the trip, prospects for the development and improvement of the work of the Maltese Relief Service in St. Petersburg were outlined.
